The series#39; seventh season began airing Setember 23, 2008, on a new 10:00 m (EST) Tuesday timeslot. Steven Weber joined the cast for the first five eisodes of the season as Secial Agent Clark Medina, Jack#39;s temorary relacement as unit suervisor. The eisodes focused as much on missing ersons cases as on Medina#39;s war against Jack, as he revealed that he had not only been sent to relace Jack but also to convince Jack to leave the bureau. Medina ultimately realizes that he cannot get Jack to resign, and uses him in a ower lay to get himself romoted; in return, he arranges for Jack to get his old osition back. Following Jack#39;s return to Unit Suervisor, he sets about trying to reair his relationshi with Sam and takes custody of his elder daughter, Hanna.
